Project Realization

After the project has been officially initiated, all necessary resources allocated, roles and responsibilities clearly defined we can go to the second phase - a project realization.
Project realization is by far the longest phase of all of them, but obviously it is driven by the results and deliverables obtained during the initiation phase.
The project realization stage can be divided into four major parts:

  1. System Setup
  2. Data Migration
  3. User Training
  4. Go Live

1. System Setup

It's during the system setup stage that all business requirements specified in the system designer document, all system and process gaps gathered during the gap analysis and information from key business user workshops get implemented in the system.
In accordance to your business process requirements FinSysAdvisors can setup your SunSystem that includes:

  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Receivables

2. Data Migration

Based on your business requirements documented in the data migration specification document FinSysAdvisors can migrate your data from either your legacy system or older versions of SunSystems (version 4.x).
Customized scripts can be developed if there is a requirement for a complex data manipulation. For example, one of your requirements can be to convert your chart of accounts or analysis structure at the same time a new system is being implemented.
In the end of the data migration process a number of reconciliation reports will be run to reconcile the migrated data between SunSystems and your legacy system.

3. User Training

Just prior to go-live decision, normally two or three weeks before the go-live decision the user training can be conducted by FinSysAdvisors. The user training can be customized to follow your business processes and procedures. At the same time the user training can serve as the user acceptance test.

4. Go Live


After all the previous stages have been succesefully completed a decision has to be made whether the business can go live with the new system. Different risks and possible issues need to be assessed and taken into consideration in order to minimize the impac before going live.
